Honey and Broth... dont forget the onion!

I have come to a conclusion that my health works like this: its fine, dont try anything to make it more healthy. Example: Any time I have ever tried that "Airborne" stuff, I emediatly get sick. Its like my body goes thru withdrawls of being "normal" and "not above average health".

I am taking these HGC shots and my mom said that I need to have a B12 shot every week or something. So, she shot me yesterday (which actually hurt later by the way mom).

So. I am sick. Yep. I cought a cold. My nose has a stuffyness to it but it cant stop running away from me and my throat is so scratchy which leads to my caughing.  It started out of the blue yesterday and I felt fine but during the night of tossing and turning, i thought "crap, i thought i was gonna get away with a healthy season".
I was wrong!  I did get out of bed this morning and went to work, but felt like I was gonna kill over this morning. Around noon I went and got some chicken noodle soup in a can that you can just sip from at work, and brought in some green tea that my wonderful husband got for me last night when I was craiving things (I tend to crave odd things when I start to get sick).

As soon as about 2:00pm hit so did the acheyness and exahusted feelings. I looked up on the internet of things that could help with the common cold. This is what I found most interesting on YouTube.... peel an onion then make a bowl in it by only cutting out like 1/4 of the top core. then place sugar in it until its full to the rim. let it sit for about 12/24 hours and then the sugar turns into a liquid. Then drink it. Seriously! Look it up! Youtube: Cure for the common cold.

YUK.

I dont think I will be attempting the onion trick but I will be trying out 10 other remidies that I found I could tolerate which are:

1. Drink plenty of fluids
2. Chicken noodle soup ( with lots of vegetables in it)
3. Vitamin C
4. Echinacia
5. Sleep
6. Steam
7. VapoInhaler
8. Dark Chocolate
9. Green Tea with honey
10. Zink losenges

I really like #8.  Apparently Dark chocolate has advanced healing powers!

10 things I will not be trying:

1. Onion with sugar
2. Cold medicine
3. Hot Toddies
4. Salt Water Gargle (just because i am afraid it will hurt)
5. Wheat shots (basically wheat grass that is put in a juicer)
6. Netti pot
7. Garlic Oil combined with onion juice, deluted with water and drink several times a day.
8. Covering my body with a cream that you make our of black pepers and sugar balls boiled and made into a paste
9. bathe in colonge and twice boiled water
10. Boiled Oranges
(some of these are from a website that I got from typing in the bing search engine: "Natural-home remedies for the comon cold"
I think #10 would just ruin oranges for me all together
