hey yall! well its Wednesday again, which means its time for a new blog. however, I'm kinda in a slump as to what to write about. my life is boring when i don't have my girls around. but this is hat i have for you today. An update.
update on my weight loss: i have officially lost 10 pounds exactly as of this morning! it feels great. i actually threw on some jeans that i haven't been able to fit in for a while this morning after weighing myself. they fit! well they are a bit snug but hey i figure if i keep this up maybe by the end of next month i could possibly fit in to the jeans from when i was 20. one can only hope right? Aaron has officially lost 32 pounds. he is kinda in a slump right now. but i guess that's what you get for breaking your diet rules! i love you bunny! anyways, I'm feeling really good! i have found that i have more energy, my mood is a lot happier and i haven't had a migraine let alone a headache in 3 weeks! i seriously cant express my feelings in word how i feel about this. sometimes i wish i just did video blogs. (maybe when i loose a little more weight) :)
so like i said, the girls have not been home for a couple of days (they are at their moms) which always kinda puts me in a sort of depressed slump. but before they left we had a bunch of fun. Autumn had her first slumber party alone on Friday. by this i mean that this was the first one that she has gone to with out her sister. she had a blast. they went to a drive in movie (i give props to that mom for dealing with 15 girls under the age of 9) and then they camped out in a tent all night long. she came home exhausted and fell right to sleep on Saturday. She didn't fall asleep at the sleepover until about 3. again, i give props to that mom!
while Autumn was at her slumber party and Aaron on call and out at floods all night, Aspen and I went to my sisters birthday dinner. on the way to the restaurant (Tin Roof; go their; its soooooo yummy) she had a bunch of things going Thu her little head so she and i talked all the way there and back. my 10 year old asked when she could start shaving her legs. I asked her "why, is it something you think you should do?" she said "its just that my brother at my moms house was making fun of me for having longer hair on my legs than he did)". i have to admit that i have noticed she has her fathers "hair" jean! So i told her that when she comes back from her moms, i would teach her. with this brought up many other questions, like why she has long hair on her "wi" as she calls it. oooooohhhhhhh lord help me. So, um, well. I figured this is the year in school when she will go thru the maturation class so I thought "if she has questions, i will answer them honestly". needless to say we spent about 2 hours strait talking about puberty in girls and why things happen and how things work. It was hard not to laugh at the things she would say like "what are those stick things that come in a box and you shove up your wi" and "oh like on Look Who's Talking when those worm thingys were swimming and trying to eat that ball thingy".
I think that if she reads this in a couple of years she might kill me for actually writing about this. lol, if so, i love you aspen!
Speaking of Aspen. My sweet girl! last Friday, she was just standing in the living room staring off into space, hand on her hip like she was a model for some high end fashion magazine and randomly says "IBM pretty today, and so are you". God I love her.
Saturday we all had some time to hang out as a family at the park. So we met up with my sister and my nephew and some neighbor kids at the water park. it was nice to hang out with her and just enjoy the nice sunny but cool day! the kids were running thru the water area and yet Autumn would not dare get her hair wet or any other part of her except her feet. hmmmmmm i wonder if this had anything to do with the cute neighbor boy that my sister brought with her. usually autumn is the first one to get wet and not get out of the water without one of us dragging her. she's 8 almost nine. do girls her age even think about boys that way and get self conscious? oh gosh. I'm dead.
lets see what else has been going on? oh yeah. we had a huge wind storm on Sunday. it was so strong that it blew down about 5 trees just around our house. they almost all landed on cars. I felt bad. i wished it was my car instead. then i could finally get my car fixed. oh well. Oh on that note: we might be going to look at cars today, when Aaron gets off work. so keep your fingers crossed for me that i can actually find something that i want.
So, as some of you know, Aaron and I lay the lottery. we drive up to Idaho once a month and get tickets. We have set up a game plan and things we want to get/do after we win. While talking with the girls one day about al and they said Hawaii. I somewhat agreed but not completely. Later that day I asked Aaron where in the USA he would like to live. He ad many ideas but we couldn't agree on any of them. So i googled: "Best places to live" and it came up with some polls and what not of articles of "the best places to live" Louisville CO was the number 1 place in 2009. I have never been to Colorado, but have always had nice thoughts about it. I like the feel it gives off. So I did some research about the weather there for the winter months. Winter is a major issue with us. i hate the snow! i don't mind a little bit of it, i just want it to snow so much that people cant drive and shoveling has to happen. So the next day I went into work where I asked Mort if he has ever visited Colorado. And he has so I asked him more about the weather and what not and his reply was it snows just as bad there as it does here.... needless to say Colorado is out of the running. So i asked him what state has nice summers that aren't blistering and nice winters without snow but short enough distance to go skiing. (Aaron Loves the snow) he said California.. I said NO WAY. i have a theory about California. its going to break off of the USA and fall into the ocean one day. plus, i already have pollution in my lungs from the valley bowl we live in now. so he suggested Oregon. I did some more google-ing and found that I really like it there. I asked Aaron if we could move there after we win the lottery and he said YES without hesitation. He loves it there. he has very fond memories there too. So, it was settled. We are going to move to Oregon.
ummmmm what else? oh. Aaron's birthday is just around the corner. he wants some new running shoes, but i need some more ideas. got any?
well i have seriously ran out of things to talk about so i will get off this thing now and let you be.
Please don't forget to comment and subscribe! it really would help me out a lot. my girls need braces soon lol.
