tag you are it

I was recently tagged to post 10 things that I love about my husband, and although there are more than ten things that I love about him I narrowed it down to about a hundred. Then I thought I would mix it up a bit. Rather than the usual "he is a good dad, he is a good cook..." which he is, I didn't think that those things would really set him apart from any other woman ranting about her husband. So here are ten things that I love about my husband that may make you look at him in a different light.

10.     I do silly little dances around the house, mostly when I am happy or when I feel like I need to get a little energy out of my system, such as the washing machine. Aaron will try to simulate them, and bless his heart he doesn't have a thread of rhythm in his bones. He looks like he is having a seizure at times. The washing machine move is kinda like a twist, when Aaron does it, it looks like he is squatting to shake loose a BM. I love how, even though he looks silly as hell he will always try.

9.     Thursday nights on NBC there is a show called "The Marriage Ref". It is about married couples fighting over things and a panel of celebrities with judge them to see who wins and who looses a battle. Last nights episode all the couples won a second honeymoon to Sandles resort.  Aaron turned to me and said "We should go on that show, we just need to find something to argue about". I love how even though we have some intense moments we don't really argue. And every time I try to argue (because i am a girl and we all know how much we love a good fight every now and then) he just agrees with me or does whatever it takes so that I don't want to argue anymore. (maybe this is because he grew up with all girls). I Love how we don't "fight".

8.     Aaron's job is very physical and exhausting at times. I know when I have that sort of day, I am usually grumpy and I don't want to do anything when I get home except take a hot shower/bath and go to bed.  When he has those days, I am sure he wants to do the same but he will always hang out with the girls and me and even wrestle around and even does things like take over dinner for me, the dishes, and the laundry. I love how he is not selfish at all and always leaves work at work!

7.     Cuddle Bug, Booboo Bear, Honey Bunny. All cooey pet names. And yes they come out of his mouth directed at me.  He is never ashamed to call me these things in public. I never was one to do the pet name thing (i know i am a girl and i should have but...).  My thing is "babe", like "hey babe, can you..." but Aaron, he brings out the big guns. "I love you Honey Bunny" and "wheres my cuddle bug?" never once would you expect a high school all star jock to use these phrases on his wife at the age of 33. And I LOVE IT!

6.     My car is just about paid off. And well, we all know what usually happens to the car at that point. The thing falls apart and ends up needing a triple bypass.  We have (mostly him) replaced almost everything except the actual engine block of this thing. And now it needs a new fuel pump. Yesterday, I had a really bad day at work with some angry patients, and I came home in a fussy mood. He did what he usually does whenIi am in a bad mood and tried to get me out of my funk and put a smile on my face. We were sitting there talking about when he wanted to get started on it and his reply was, "I will only work on it when you are in a good mood." My reply was "when am I not in a good mood?" he then said "well I'm not working on the car now am I?". I laughed my butt off and he said "well at least I got you to smile".   I love that no matter how he does it or what he risks, he will always put a smile on my face.

5.     I scream, You scream, we all scream for Ice Cream! any time Aaron ever visited his loving grandparents while growing up, they always had ice cream. This was a fond memory. However, this boy eats more ice cream on a daily basis then a high school full of girls with boy problems over a ten year span. He can eat an entire tub of ice cream in one sitting and still go back for more. He puts crazy things in it too when he can, for example: hot cocoa powder on top of any kind of ice cream. His sister will back him up on this too.  I personally have a thing for all things cake. I usually get recipe books of different kinds of cakes. He flips threw them and folds the pages of the ones he wants me to make for him. when I go back looking at the ones he chose, they all have something to do with chocolate. This man has a sweet tooth grand central station style. Anything candy! Anything Chocolate! Anything Ice cream! good thing I am on the same boat, but with a life preserver on, I have my limits.  I love how he can act like a child and a depressed high school teenage girl, shoveling in the ice cream after a breakup, and not think twice about it, and still be as manly as a man living in the wild.

4.     Your grounded! I love you!- when your young and do something that you shouldn't, you get grounded or reprimanded right? Well that's no exception at our house. Although the girls are absolute angles, at times they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar. At our house, it seems as if lately being grounded is just another in one ear out the other word.  Well that is when I try to do it. I guess I am not mean enough. Aaron on the other hand, he puts fear into their eyes until the floods of tears start to come out of them.  His voice shakes them and actually gets threw to them. And after the punishment has been placed and the fear is there, He goes Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on them, and comforts them, and tells them that he loves them(i know that is a lot of "thems" in that sentence). I love how even though he is angry and wants to make his point no matter how it hurts them, he never wants to let them go without them knowing that even though they did something wrong, he still loves them.

3.     James Bond never looked this good. Okay well maybe, but seriously, who can compete with James Bond?  Well my husband comes close. He is usually wearing something with comfort. His usual day is work uniform, come home and change into warm-ups and a frumpy old t-shirt. Some times jeans will replace the warm-ups. BUT, when its time to wine and dine, he gets out the nice stuff hidden in the back of the closet. Our wedding for example, a suit. Wow! Another example is when we go out on a date. He is stunningly handsome! I Love how he can dress to empress and always knock my socks off.

2.     Hobby's- Recently I have gotten into the "geocaching" thing. I find it fun and exciting. Aaron, not so much as me but he still will have fun doing it as long as he does it with me. I find this in him everytime we do something that is not really up his ally but is totally up mine. He doesnt just grin and bear it. He actually seems to have fun doing it. I love how no matter how bored he is, he always shows me that he has fun.

1.   HE'S MINE!- yep, the number one thing that I love about my husband is that he is mine. I have never felt so sure of anything in my life until him. He is my best friend, my shoulder to cry on, my tug of war component, my helper, my wild man, my smile at the end of the day. He is mine, all mine and I LOVE HAVING HIM IN MY LIFE!

So there you have it. My Husband! well at least ten things I love about him, cheesy yes, but that's the way I roll.
