Tasty Tuesday

Yesterday at work the two Mortensen brothers came together to talk about a delightful thing their Nina made. Cranberry Salsa! In the words of jucystar07, OMGHHKP! Seriously? Two yummy things brought together that I could put on my turkey sandwiches?, or make a yummy arepa sandwich with or even dunk some chips in, or he'll just give me a spoon!

My first thoughts after heaven flew through my mind was: is it something I can enjoy? So I asked what all was in it. After listing off all the things in it (which by the way are gluten free) they went on to say that you can put cream cheese on a cracker and top it off with the salsa!

CREAM CHEESE? My mouth drooled a bit, ok A LOT! I use an entire brick of cream cheese for one beagle! I love it so much I could just take the wrapper off and eat it like a candy bar. Ok maybe not the entire brick but i sure would try. So there was no surprise that I screamed in the middle of their sentence and said"I WANT IT NOW!" so Ryan promised he would bring me some the next day!

So that was yesterday and by mid work day today I had already forgotten all about it. As I went in the back office to tell Ryan that his patient was ready he was literally shoveling his mouth full of chocolate cherries. I asked what they were and scrunched my nose when he told me and was about to say Eww gross, but he interrupted me with a devastated "oh man I forgot the salsa".

I looked at him for a second with even more of a disgusted look thinking, why the heck would you top something so gross off with salsa. And then it hit me. I told him he was fired and I was going up front to call his wife and tell her how he lost his job.

I headed for the phone, dialed his house number, and Jon his brother answered. I said "I don't want to get fired for abuse, so I need you and Nina to beat the living crud out of your brother tonight". His response wasn't a question as to why but was a firm "I will see what we can do" I laughed and told him why and he said "well I can bring it to you before I go to school".

Excitement filled my eyes and my mouth started leaking drool again. When he came in, he not only brought the salsa but some cream cheese and some chips too! GOD BLESS THIS MAN! I took one bite and yep a flash of heaven was in my mind again! How have I not experienced this love before? I brought it home and you can bet your patooky I will be using it in dinner tonight! As well as trying to find out how to make this wonderful blend of spicy and sweet and oh my god yummyness!

If I find out how to make it maybe I will post it here and share heaven with you. If I don't, don't be offended that I want to be selfish!
